(Item: B-382)Oregon City Indian Trade Blanket-Clamshells-Nr Mint-(b-382) Circa 1930's., size 62x75. The condition of this wool Indian
trade blanket is excellent to near mint. It still has the original label, shown. This blanket is in colors of brown,
cream, and greens mostly. The original felt binding is also attached and shows no wear. This blanket looks to have been
put up and really just stored. Hangs and displays nicely. It has a serrated clamshell look, as to why it is referenced
as a clamshellish pattern as noted in Chasing Rainbows by Barry Friedman. It is shown on page 153 of Chasing Rainbows in
an old 1928 catalog ad. An excellent collectors blanket esp if one dosen't have this in the collection.
