Minature Rainbow Hexagonal Quilt 3/4 INCH (q-275) Circa 1920's-30's, size 78x102. The condition of this fabulous quilt is excellent, looks unused. The small hand pieced and hand quilted pieces that make up this awesome quilt just make me want to know the person that made this quilt. It came from an estate in Wentworth, Mo. and with some research, found it was made by Pearl Davidson. There are approx 12,320 pieces in the quilt. All hand quilted at 9 spi. The little hexagons are only 3/4 inch and the side of each hexagon is less than an 1/2 inch. The separate tiny binding is hand whipped on. A real treasure and a special quilt. When hanging the center is not exactly flat. It is such a treat for the eyes with the use of solid cottons, making a field of hexagons. Lots of visual appeal. Missouri estate.
