Double Wedding Ring quilt(q-232) Circa 1930's, size 63x73. This different wedding ring quilt has some character , as
the quilter first used a non-typical green ground and there is one block that really stands out , the cheddar and black
block arcs. Maybe she just wanted to be different or didn't want the "perfect looking" quilt, or maybe just ran out of
other fabrics,, if we only knew! Also, in the arcs of the rings, the maker sometimes alternated solids and sometimes
used all prints. There are several feedsack fabrics used in the making of this quilt. The backing is solid pink. The
pieces in the blocks are fairly small. It is all hand quilted at 4-5 spi. It has been rebound with old fabric and is
whipped on by hand. I acquired this quilt in Missouri.
