Cindys Antique Quilts

Shufly Quilt(q-195) Circa 1900-1910, size 70x85. Condition is excellent on this Oklahoma made quilt. Lots of old fabrics , some dating back to 1880's , so was probably a scrap bag of some fabrics when pieced, although lots of black prints used. Now that I am looking at it fully , I see black or gray in all the blocks. Wonder if that meant something. Beautiful blue calico fabric used for the entire backing and matter-in-fact it was turned to the front and whipped down by hand for the binding. All hand quilted at 6 spi. Quilted diagonally across the quilt. It looks like there was an old well done repair in the maroon fabric, pictured, that blends great. Woodward , Ok. estate.
